Aamir Khan Productions has officially announced the release date for its upcoming romantic drama Mere Raho, locking it in for a theatrical release on December 12, 2025. Directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan, the film stars Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi in the lead.
From ‘Ek Din’ to Mere Raho
The announcement ends months of speculation surrounding the project. Initially rumoured to be titled Ek Din, the film was also expected to release on November 7, clashing with Ikkis, which features Agastya Nanda in his big-screen debut. With the new date now confirmed, Mere Raho avoids the clash and instead enters the competitive mid-December window.
Set in the Heart of a Japanese Winter
One of the film’s standout features is its picturesque setting in Japan, particularly during the stunning Snow Festival of Sapporo. Large portions of the film were shot there in early 2024. Despite initial setbacks due to harsh weather conditions and unexpected snowfall, the team persevered, ensuring the shoot remained on track.

A Crucial Release for Junaid Khan
Mere Raho marks Junaid Khan’s second theatrical release and his third acting project overall. His debut in YRF’s Maharaj on OTT was well-received, but his first theatrical film Loveyapa failed to make a mark. This film, however, pairs him with the critically acclaimed Sai Pallavi, raising expectations for a stronger box office impact.
A Crowded December Line-Up
Releasing a week after Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar and Vishal Bhardwaj’s untitled Shahid Kapoor–Triptii Dimri starrer, Mere Raho enters a competitive month. With strong visual appeal and a fresh romantic pairing, it could be the underdog hit of the season.
