Here to reinvent a genre of dance that has been long forgotten, actress Kangana Ranaut who plays a mujrawalli in Vishwas Patil’s RAJJO, produced by Four Pillars Entertainment recently shot for the film’s highlight song , her first ever classical mujra number titled ‘Kaleja Hai Hajir… Khanjar Kahan Hai’.

Having trained in Kathak for the last 3 years at Nateshwar Nritya Kala Mandir under the guidance of Rajendra Chaturvedi, Kangana shot for the song composed by Uttam Singh and choreographed by Ganesh Acharya like a pro.
Says Ganesh Acharya, ”Kangana has always been known as a powerhouse performer but now you will see her with new perspective. I was thrilled to see her dedication and the end result. It will be the best performance of Kangana’s life.”
Clarifying that the song cannot be termed as an item number, says Kangana, ”Item numbers are not my cup of tea and mujra song in RAJJO can’t be called item numbers. They are highly authentic and a tribute to Gopi Krishna and I enjoyed every bit of dancing that I am getting to do in this film.”

Produced by Four Pillars Entertainment, Vishwas Patil’s RAJJO, also starring National Award winners Prakash Raj and Mahesh Manjrekar and newcomer Paras Arora is scheduled to release this year.
