This month, director Karan Johar unfolded Alia Bhatt. Talking about her casting in the 2012 title, Student of the Year, he told Game Changers’, a popular YouTube channel, that he always believed Alia is going to be very much a big deal, though he never imagined that she’d turn out to be so gloriously brilliant as an actress.
Johar also highlighted the fact that it was in her childhood that he first met her, sending in an audition for Student of the Year. Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra, also being his assistants in My Name is Khan, were presented by him for the film. He ordered his team to treat them like established superstars, so that they could walk into Bollywood with confidence.

Johar also spoke about himself and said that the film that took him outside his comfort zone was My Name is Khan. “While I was shooting My Name Is Khan, I believed I was going out of my comfort zone, but 12 years later, I realized that was the time I learned to direct,” he stated.
