It so happened that Shahid Kapoor was asked about how it was acting with dad Pankaj Kapoor and if he had learnt anything from him. At this point, Alia took the mike and said, “He gave me long(clove) that really saved me from the cold. I didn’t event faint because of that long.”
At this point Karan Johar butted in and said, “Really, Alia? They were asking for an acting tip and you have given us some herbal tip. Pankaj Kapoor, who’s a legendary actor of this country and you just said that he gave you long. Have you not understood this question?”
This had everyone in splits! A visibly embarrassed Alia just said she thought of giving a different answer.
