A team member is seen performing chest compressions in an attempt to revive him, highlighting the urgency of the situation following his unexpected collapse.
Tragic End During Polo Match
The 52-year-old Chairman of Sona Comstar, a prominent auto component manufacturer catering to the EV sector, passed away on June 12 after suffering a fatal heart attack. Reports suggest the attack was triggered by an accidental bee ingestion, which led to a severe allergic reaction. Despite immediate medical attention on the field, the reaction proved fatal. Sunjay, a seasoned polo enthusiast, was known for his regular participation in the sport.

Family, Legacy, and Farewell
Sunjay’s last rites were conducted in New Delhi on June 19, and a prayer meet is scheduled for June 22 at the Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi from 4 to 5 PM. His funeral was attended by family, including his ex-wife Karisma Kapoor, with whom he shared two children—Samaira and Kiaan. The couple divorced in 2016 after a highly publicized legal battle that ended with Karisma gaining custody of the children.
