The apprehensions of the trade have come true as none of the new releases- BALWINDER SINGH …. FAMOUS HO GAYA, 3 A.M., DESI KATTEY, MAINU EK LADKI CHAAHIYE, MUMBAI DELHI MUMBAI, CHAARFUTIYA CHOKARE etc., could manage even a 10 percent start. If we have to choose the film that is faring the best (???), comparatively, it is Anand Kumar’s DESI KATTEY.

| KHOOBSURAT and DAAWAT-E-ISHQ |
Interestingly, it was the Sonam Kapoor and Fawad Khan starrer, KHOOBSURAT, which leads the pack, even over its release partner, Parineeti Chopra-Aditya Roy Kapur’s DAAWAT-E-ISHQ. In fact KHOOBSURAT, which trailed DAAWAT-E-ISHQ by about 1.5 crore initially, narrowed the gap (day wise collections), as the days progressed with Thursday (26th September ) being almost at par. And Friday numbers saw KHOOBSURAT crossing DAAWAT-E-ISHQ.

As far as the first week stats are concerned, DAAWAT-E-ISHQ has netted 20.50 crore while KHOOBSURAT managed 17.50 crore (both totals to be validated).
To leave on a cheerful note, next Thursday will see the box-office explode with Hrithik-Katrina’s BANG BANG along with the Shahid-Shraddha venture HAIDER.
