Khushi Kapoor, one of Bollywood’s rising stars, is well-known for her social media presence and candidness. The Loveyapa actress recently stirred conversations when she openly admitted to getting lip fillers and a nose job, and in a recent interview with Curly Tales, she shared her thoughts on the decision. Khushi downplayed the significance of her cosmetic enhancements, stating, “I don’t think it’s such a big deal.” She explained that the real issue lies with people fearing backlash for admitting to cosmetic procedures, but she believes that hate will exist regardless of one’s choices.
Khushi also addressed the stigma surrounding cosmetic work, particularly the term “plastic,” which many use as an insult. She feels there’s nothing wrong with cosmetic enhancements, but the problem arises when celebrities, after altering their appearance, claim to be “completely natural” or “woke up like this,” setting unrealistic beauty standards. She pointed out how this can negatively impact younger audiences, making them feel insecure about their own looks.
The actress emphasized the importance of honesty, explaining that the pressure to conform to a “natural” image can be harmful. Reflecting on her own decision to speak out, she noted that she didn’t want to make a big deal of it but wanted to address a random comment on Instagram in August 2024. Khushi believes in being truthful, as everyone will face criticism for some reason or another.
