Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, who has called his luxurious Bandra bungalow, Mannat, home for over two decades, is set to relocate temporarily. In May 2025, renovation work will begin at Mannat, including an extensive extension project that has required court approval due to its Grade III heritage status. As a result, Shah Rukh and his family will shift to a nearby luxury apartment complex, Puja Casa, for the duration of the renovations.
A New Temporary Home: Puja Casa
Shah Rukh Khan, along with his wife Gauri and their children Aryan, Suhana, and AbRam will occupy four floors of the Puja Casa building in the Pali Hill area of Bandra. This move marks a significant change for the Khan family, as it will be the first time in over 20 years that Shah Rukh will have ‘next-door neighbors.’ Puja Casa, a well-known luxury residential complex, is co-owned by filmmaker Vashu Bhagnani, his son actor-director Jackky Bhagnani, and his daughter Deepshikha Deshmukh. The Khan family has leased two duplex apartments across the first, second, seventh, and eighth floors of the building.
Puja Casa: A Long-Standing Residence for the Bhagnanis
Puja Casa has long been home to the Bhagnani family. Vashu and his wife live there, as do Jackky Bhagnani and his wife, actor Rakul Preet Singh. The Bhagnanis have shared glimpses of their lives at Puja Casa through social media posts over the years, geotagging their photos to the building. Now, the Bhagnanis will become Shah Rukh Khan’s neighbors for the next 2-3 years as the Khan family resides in the building until Mannat’s renovation is completed.
Renovation Plans at Mannat
The renovation plans for Mannat, including the highly anticipated extension of the iconic bungalow, are set to begin in May 2025. Due to the heritage classification of Mannat, any changes to the structure must be approved by the court. This long-awaited renovation will likely take up to two years to complete, and during this time, the Khan family will continue to live in Puja Casa. Sources close to the actor have revealed that Shah Rukh and his team are taking extra precautions to ensure the safety and privacy of his family during their stay.
