“As a matter of fact even for PRINCE I never wanted to be so ambitious,” says Taurani for whom it was his first independent production after he and sibling Ramesh decided to make films independently, “The budget of PRINCE was much lesser to begin with. In fact when we started the movie, we never knew that it would need so much moolah. Many studios misguided us where we went for the VFX. There were so many things that happened which are not really worthy enough to be repeated today. It was my first independent production as well and I did make mistakes.”

He is happy about the fact that he and his company managed to recover soon after from the jolt and with a spate of medium budget films, he was back on track.
“Exactly. I look at PRINCE as my huge learning fee. Ab paisa laga diya toh laga diya,” Taurani gives out a hearty laugh here, “Soon after that I was back on my feet and went ahead to make two Punjabi blockbusters – MEL KARADE RABBA and JIHNE MERA DIL LUTEYA. These two were huge grossers and with TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA, we were back on track.”
Meanwhile plans are being put together for the release of JAYANTA BHAI KI LUV STORY which hits the screens on 15th February.
