Kay Kay Menon as Naeem Shaikh:
An orphan from Mumbai, who was adopted by Bhau’s father (Parikshit Sahni), Shaikh knows the mean streets of Mumbai like the back of his hand, courtesy of a childhood spent fending for himself. Known as a ‘loose cannon’ for his impulsiveness and a short fuse, Shaikh can only be controlled by Bhau, because of the love and respect Shaikh has for Bhau and his family and also as he owes his life to Bhau’s father, who helped educate him and encouraged him to be a cop. Shaikh, husband to Naseem (Uvica Chowdhary) is also about to become a father, which makes him all the more aware of family ties and relationships and responsibilities.

Johnny Lever as Eric Collaco:
A Hyderabadi Christian, Eric is the ‘laughter specialist’ of the unit. A light-hearted guy, Eric is always ready with a quick joke when tempers run high. However, those who underestimate him, do so at their own peril as when it comes to knowing how things operate in the city as well as his own unit, Eric has no equal.

Mahaakshay as Madhav Sinha a.k.a Maddy:
The ‘baby’ of the unit, Maddy has been recruited to the unit straight from the Police Academy. Because of his youth and relative lack of experience, he is often looked upon as a kid brother by the other cops in the unit, who will go to any lengths to protect him when the chips are down. However, despite being the youngest member of the unit, Maddy is in the most dangerous position- that of an undercover agent, who has managed to infiltrate the criminal organization of Mukhtar Memon. A quick study that he is, Maddy is eager to learn the ropes and get himself to an advantageous position.
These four intrepid officers form the Unit IX of the Mumbai Crime Branch. When the city faces danger, it is this team, led by Bhau, which is deployed to effectively plan and execute a strategy to rein in anti-social elements, thereby bringing calm to this pulsating city…

Zakir Hussain as Mukhtar Memon:
A cold-blooded killer, Mukhtar wants to rule the city and his weapon is fear. Memon doesn’t care if the city is washed in blood as long as his memory sends a shiver up everyone’s spine even after he is no more. Memon also has a strong nexus throughout the system, which makes him a force to be reckoned with.
