Mumbai Saga: The Journey begins

With the completion of 25 years in the Hindi Film Industry, Sanjay Gupta is ready to helm the director’s seat with ‘Mumbai Saga’ produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series. 

Set in the 1980s-’90s revolving around all that went into transforming Bombay into Mumbai, this gangster-drama, is an ensemble film. 

The film stars John Abraham, Emraan Hashmi, Jackie Shroff, Suniel Shetty, Prateik Babbar, Gulshan Grover, Rohit Roy, Amole Gupte, and others in the film.

Meanwhile, the makers of the film have shared an image in which we see the photo of a clap stating that the journey begins. The image was captioned, "Mahurat shot of #MumbaiSaga.???? The journey begins. A 19th June 2020 release. @itsBhushanKumar  #KrishanKumar #AnuradhaGupta  @_SanjayGupta  #WhiteFeatherFilms"  

The image was released by director Sanjay Gupta. His post read, "19th June 2020. We have a date!"

Speaking on the film, producer Bhushan Kumar says, “Mumbai Saga is our first in the gangster drama genre and who better than Sanjay to direct it. The film is inspired by true events yet makes the characters so larger than life. The entire cast will bring so much to the table.”

The film is likely to release in 2020.

Gulshan Kumar presents, T-Series and White Feather Films production, Mumbai Saga, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Sangeeta Ahir, and Anuradha Gupta is directed by Sanjay Gupta.
