Though rumours about Kareena Kapoor playing a negative lead in AGENT VINOD had started two years back when the film was announced, they died over a period of time. However now that the promos are on, there is a certain intrigue that has set in all over again as Kareena’s character is giving out mysterious vibes.
Though the makers have declared that Kareena is playing a Pakistani in the film, there have also been rumours around her playing a spy in the film. However her ‘mujra’ act coupled with a romantic number ‘Rabta’ have made many wonder if AGENT VINOD would turn out to be the love story of a spy or something else.

Adds an insider, “Saif is playing an agent but then even he has a back story to him. Ditto for Kareena who comes with her own background and her emotions are all justified as well. In fact around the interval point of the film, audience would be left wondering whether she is a good girl or a bad girl.”

Expectedly though no one is willing to spill the beans yet or even share a hint about the real plot here.
Says director Sriram Raghavan, “All I can tell you is that yes, Kareena is playing a very enigmatic character in the film. It is complex, substantial and quite powerful. Once you know the truth about her character, you would want to revisit the film and see for yourself why she was acting or behaving in a particular manner. Yes, she is playing a suspenseful person but I can’t reveal more.”
Well, we would wait to catch it ourselves when the film releases all over on 23rd March.
