The guru shishya jodi of Naseeruddin Shah and Randeep Hooda will reunite after the long gap of eleven years for a film titled JOHN DAY. The first film that saw them together was Randeep’s debut film MONSOON WEDDING where he got an opportunity to share screen space with Naseeruddin in his first ever scene for a film.
From there on Randeep who is an ardent fan of Naseer sahab’s work, got along well with him and have been doing lots of theatre work under him.

Directed by Ahishor Solomon, produced by Anjum Rizvi (who earlier produced A WEDNESDAY) along with K Asif; JOHN DAY will be an edge of the seat revenge drama.

Randeep, who considers Naseer sahab as his guru, friend and a confidant, is extremely glad to have finally got a script that will do justice to both his character and the character of an actor of Naseer sahab’s caliber.
Says co- producer Anjum Rizvi, ”Solomon came to me with this great script and he had Naseer sahab and Randeep in mind for the two lead characters. We approached them and both readily agreed after listening to the script. We are happy to have both of them together in JOHN DAY where both have very interesting roles.”
