Panipat trailer: Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Kapoor fight over the final battle that changed history

Here comes the much-awaited trailer of Panipat. Yesterday the makers of Ashutosh Gowariker’s Panipat revealed the posters of the film and the character roles of the main cast.

Sanjay Dutt as Afghan king, Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhau and Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai.

The movie is based on the third battle of Panipat. It took place on 14th January 1761. The main cast of the film looks all fierce and everyone in a warrior mode. The villainous role is played by Sanjay Dutt as the Afghan King. Arjun Kapoor as Sadashiv Rao Bhau and his wife is played by Kriti Sanon as Parvati Bai.

The trailer depicts as the film is set in 1761 when the Maratha Empire had reached its zenith and their grip on Hindostan reigned supreme with no-one to challenge them until an invader set his eyes on the throne of Hindostan.

That’s when Sadashiv Rao Bhau (Arjun Kapoor), the Commander-in-Chief of the Maratha army led a northern expedition in order to repel the invading forces of Ahmad Shah Abdali (Sanjay Dutt), the King of Afghanistan. This War epic entails the events that led to the Third Battle of Panipat.

The film is directed by Ashutosh Gowariker, produced by Sunita Gowariker and Rohit Shelatkar. The film is slated to release on 6th December 2019. It is launched by Reliance Entertainment.
