PM Narendra Modi mourns the death of Ratan Tata says, “Extraordinary human being”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, along with other leaders and dignitaries, expressed deep sorrow over the death of Ratan Tata, the veteran industrialist and chairman emeritus of Tata Sons, who passed away at the age of 86 in Mumbai’s Breach Candy Hospital. Tata, who had been receiving treatment in the ICU, succumbed to complications related to a sudden drop in blood pressure.

PM Modi paid tribute to Tata’s legacy, calling him a “visionary business leader, a compassionate soul, and an extraordinary human being.” He lauded Tata’s leadership of one of India’s most prestigious business houses and highlighted his humility, kindness, and dedication to philanthropy. Modi also recalled his personal interactions with Ratan Tata, dating back to when Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat, appreciating Tata’s enriching perspectives on various issues.

President Droupadi Murmu echoed similar sentiments, praising Tata for blending corporate growth with nation-building and ethics. She acknowledged his global impact on the Tata legacy and his invaluable contributions to philanthropy, especially in education, healthcare, and social welfare.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also expressed grief, referring to Ratan Tata as a man of vision who left a lasting mark on both the business world and philanthropy.

Ratan Tata’s passing marks the end of a remarkable era in Indian business, where his influence went far beyond the boardroom, touching lives through numerous social causes and philanthropic initiatives.
