Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra‘s father Dr. Ashok Chopra, who was critically ill and battling with cancer for quite some time, passed away today. As per the reports, his father breathed his last today. He was admitted at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital.
It is believed that he was suffering from cancer since 2008.

It was in 2005, when Priyanka was shooting for Rohan Sippy‘s BLUFFMASTER, her father fell ill.
Priyanka Chopra who was juggling with her film assignments and attending to her father, was exceptionally close to him. She was said to have been extremely anxious and worried about her father’s health. In fact, Priyanka put aside all her work assignments to give her time to ailing father. It is heard that Priyanka even had organized a Puja at her home for dad’s recovery.

Dr. Chopra’s condition deteriorated last week and despite the stress, Priyanka went about fulfilling her work commitments until her father was admitted to the hospital.
