A Film That Exposes Legal Abuse
Directed by Anindya Bikas Datta, a celebrated filmmaker from Bangla cinema making his Hindi film debut, The Verdict 498A will expose how false accusations under this section have led to wrongful imprisonments, broken families, and tragic suicides. The film will focus on how this law, originally designed for protection, has been turned into a weapon of legal abuse.

Deeptanshu Shukla’s journey is one of resilience. After being falsely accused under Section 498A, Shukla, instead of succumbing to the injustice, pursued law to fight back. His courage to take on powerful political connections and seek justice for innocent men caught in legal battles will form the core of the film.
