As was expected and predicted by us, Vikram Bhatt’s Emraan-Bipasha starrer, RAAZ 3, has embarked upon a good start. The opening at the single screens is excellent at around 75-85 percent and the multiplexes are also quite good at 55-60 percent. In fact RAAZ 3 may well be Emraan’s biggest opener, and as per early estimates the first day can be as high as 9.5 crore, (excluding the Thursday paid previews)!

While the opening is great almost everywhere, Mumbai and Delhi city multliplexes are a tad lower at around 50 percent.
Meanwhile last Friday’s Shirish Kunder directed Akshay-Sonakshi starrer JOKER has expectedly disappointed at the box-office, and after a so-so weekend of 15 crore, the film has ended the week netting a very ordinary 20 crore plus. The silver lining is that the modest selling price (40 crore) and the pre-selling of the satellite rights at a good price (20 crore plus) may help the film escape with minimal losses.

Concluding with Kabir Khan’s Salman-Katrina starrer, EK THA TIGER, the film continues to rock and has added another 10.5 crore during its latest run and has thus netted 193.5 crore (to be validated) in three weeks, just from India!
The ATBB (All Time Blockbuster) ETT is poised to cross the 200 crore mark within the next couple of weeks; the only other film apart from Aamir Khan’s 3 IDIOTS to have done so, if and when that happens.
