Superstar Rajinikanth received a grand tribute during the closing ceremony of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, where he was honoured for completing an iconic 50 years in Indian cinema. The atmosphere was electric as the legendary actor took the stage, with the audience rising to their feet in applause. Rajinikanth folded his hands and smiled warmly, acknowledging the overwhelming love and respect that filled the venue.
Actor Ranveer Singh, who was present at the ceremony, was invited to speak about the cinema icon. The Don 3 star admitted that describing Rajinikanth’s greatness in words felt impossible. “I am too small to be speaking about this level of greatness,” he said, before expressing his excitement for Rajinikanth’s next film. “All I can say is that I am looking forward to Jailer 2!” he added. Ranveer then delivered the superstar’s iconic line from Jailer “Hukum!”and passed the microphone toward the cheering audience, who shouted the dialogue in unison. Rajinikanth, touched by the moment, smiled appreciatively.

Beginning his acting journey in 1975 with Apoorva Raagangal, directed by K. Balachander, Rajinikanth initially made his mark through negative roles before transitioning into a beloved leading man.
