Veteran director Rakesh Roshan has spoken out about a recent health crisis, announcing that he narrowly escaped a serious medical crisis. In an Instagram post, the Krrish director revealed that during a routine check-up, doctors found that both his carotid arteries — which feed blood to the brain — were more than 75% blocked, even though he had no symptoms.
“An Eye-Opening Week”: Roshan Reflects
Rakesh posted a picture from the hospital and told how the diagnosis came about accidentally. “While having a regular full body check-up, the doctor told me to get the neck sonography done alongside the heart scan. It was then we saw the blockage,” he posted.
Realizing the potentially harmful repercussions of overlooking the condition, Rakesh himself checked into the hospital right away and received preventative measures, such as a supposed neck angioplasty. He’s home now, all healed and ready to get back to working out.

Health Tips for the 45+ Crowd
Roshan emphasized getting detected early, particularly for those over the age of 45. He recommended that all get their carotid artery sonography and heart CT done as a part of regular check-ups. “They are neglected tests, but they can save lives,” he pointed out.
“Prevention is better than cure,” he reiterated, asking fans to remain well-informed and active about their health.
Work Front: Krrish 4 on the Cards
In April, Rakesh Roshan declared Krrish 4, formally handing over the directorial mantle to his son, Hrithik Roshan, who will also play the superhero once again. Directed by Yash Raj Films and Rakesh Roshan, the highly awaited movie is expected to go on floor early next year.
