The sleepy snow laden picturesque locales of the hill town of Manali have come alive with the arrival of the film unit of YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI from the house of the prestigious Dharma Productions.
Starring the ‘again’ hot couple, Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone, the film has been making headlines ever since its announcement as it marks the return to the silver screen of the popular ‘jodi’ after a high profile break up.

The Ayan Mukerji directed film is the first major film to be shot in Manali after Akshay Kumar-Aishwarya Rai’s ACTION REPLAYY (although quite a few smaller budgeted and regional films have been shot) and has generated much excitement amongst the tourists and locals, who have been waiting endlessly to catch a glimpse of their favourite stars, but to no avail.
CHECK OUT: Ranbir-Deepika’s YEH JAWANI HAI DEEWANI to go on floors in March
Amidst much security and secrecy, major stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapur and Kalki Koechlin participated in the shooting in and around the hill town and also amongst the pristine snow laded Hamta Peak.
Our Sources in Manali tell us that the whole unit is residing in Ambassador Resorts and that the director Ayan Mukerji has confirmed that they have an outdoor schedule of around a week in Manali, though the time limit may be extended if weather plays spoil sport.
Just for the information of our patrons, actor Aamir Khan too had stayed in Ambassador Resort during his Manali visit while shooting for GHULAM.
