That’s the question that has been looming large ever since talks started around Ranbir Kapoor and Anurag Basu collaborating again around BARFI!.Though the buzz did settle down with the passage of time, there were also rumours that the film was shelved.

‘Arrey kabhi bhi shelve nahi hui thi picture! Ranbir as well as I are very excited about the film but then the script by itself is so difficult to be written. Moreover, Amit Kumar and his family have to agree on the script as well, hence it is taking time for us to make a formal announcement’, Anurag sets the record straight.

He is well aware of the fact that there is renewed interest in the film all over again, what with BARFI! being India’s nomination for Oscars, hence making the actor-director jodi further hot.
Says Anurag, ‘Yes, and both Ranbir and I are committed to the film. Once he is through with BOMBAY VELVET and YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI, we will sit down again and chalk out future plans. We have made a promise to each other.’
We for sure would look forward to the promise being fulfilled.
