Veteran filmmaker and father of actress Rani Mukherjee passed away today early morning after a prolonged illness.
Sources revealed that the Ram Mukherjee took his last breath at 4:00 a.m. One of the founders of Filmalaya Studios, Mumbai, Ram Mukherjee is known for making Sunil Dutt starrer HUM HINDUSTANI and Dilip Kumar and Vyjayanthimala starrer LEADER.
Ram Mukherjee directed and produced Rani Mukherjee’s debut Bengali film BIYER PHOOL in 1996.
Ram Mukerji's last rites will be held at Mumbai's Vile Parle in a short while from now.
