Ranveer Singh, who already has several major films lined up, may soon explore a new genre science fiction. According to a recent report, Singh is in early discussions for a time travel-based film produced by Dinesh Vijan and directed by Amit Ravindranath Sharma, known for Badhaai Ho and Maidaan. The film is set to uniquely blend science fiction with Indian mythology.
A Unique Concept Rooted in Mythology
A source close to the development revealed to Pinkvilla, “Ranveer has heard the plot and liked the world Dinesh Vijan and Amit Ravindranath Sharma are trying to create. It’s a one-of-its-kind time travel film, deeply rooted in Indian mythology.” However, the actor has not signed the film yet, as the project is still in its early stages of development.
The screenplay is currently being written, with both Vijan and Sharma collaborating closely to shape the ambitious concept into a compelling narrative. Singh has expressed interest in joining the film once the script is finalized and ready for production.
Busy Slate Ahead for Ranveer
Ranveer was recently seen at the Maddock Films office, sparking rumors about a new collaboration. The actor is currently wrapping up Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, which is aiming for a December 2025 release. Following that, Singh will move on to Don 3, helmed by Farhan Akhtar, with filming scheduled to start in January.

Additionally, Ranveer is reportedly attached to a zombie-themed film being developed by Jai Mehta. Both that and the time travel project are still in the scripting phase, with more updates expected by late 2025.
