After winning hearts with Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, Ranveer Singh is all set to showcase a completely different avatar in the upcoming action-packed film Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. The Jio Studios production is currently in its final phase, with filming expected to wrap up by October 15, 2025.
Last Leg of Filming in Full Swing
According to insiders, Ranveer will finish shooting his parts by the first week of October, while the rest of the cast will continue for another 10 days. Meanwhile, the editing process is running parallel to the shoot. “Nearly 65% of the film is already locked in the edit. The first cut, barring some technical polish, should be ready by the end of October,” revealed a source close to the project.
The makers plan to kick off the promotional campaign around Diwali, leading up to a tentative release on December 5, 2025.
Ranveer Preps for Don 3 Right After Dhurandhar
Post Dhurandhar, Ranveer will dive straight into preparations for Don 3, directed by Farhan Akhtar. Script readings, intense training, and action rehearsals are scheduled to begin by the end of October, ahead of filming in January 2026.
Don 3 promises to be the most ambitious installment in the franchise, with Ranveer and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The film will be shot across Europe and other global locations, with international stunt teams onboard. Farhan is reportedly taking a “James Bond-style” approach for the new chapter.

Future Projects on the Horizon
Ranveer is also set to star in a zombie thriller with Jai Mehta, expected to go on floors in the second half of 2026. Additionally, he’s in talks for a time-travel film with Maddock Films, to be helmed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma.
