It was way back in 2001 when we first met actor Raquesh Vashisht during his whirlwind tour for the promotion of Anubhav Sinha's debut film, TUM BIN. His small but punchy role formed the basis for the surprise musical hit, the songs of which are still popular.
Very recently when we got in touch with Raquesh once again, and it was a pleasant surprise to find that the actor has not changed much as a person, and even though he has matured, but the cute, chocolate boy look that the female fans loved in TUM BIN, is very much intact.
He is now the face of the highly popular serial, MARYADA…LEKIN KAB TAK, and talks lovingly about it, "Yes, it's true; a lot of my time is taken up by MARYADA. But I am happy with the results."
Going on further Raquesh told us about his role in the much talked about Madhur Bhandarkar directed Kareena Kapoor starrer, HEROINE, which was in the limelight following Aishwarya Rai's inability to star in the film due to her pregnancy.
He says, "You have heard it right. I play a superstar in HEROINE. I essay an important cameo in HEROINE, which is basically the journey of one superstar to the other."
Well, even though a lot of time has passed, from TUM BIN to the upcoming HEROINE, we are quite sure that the best of Raquesh Vashisht is about to be seen. But more on that later!
