While launching the trailer of Sikandar, Salman Khan uttered an offhand comment which has tongues in a buzz regarding Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda’s relationship status. While speaking about his 31-year age difference with co-star Rashmika, Salman said, “Jab heroine ko problem nahi ho rahi toh aapko kyu ho rahi hai” (If the heroine has no problem, then why should anyone else?). And but it was this subsequent statement by him which gathered the maximum heat: “Ab jab inki shaadi ho jaayegi, bachche ho jaayenge, badi star ho jaayegi, voh sab bhi kaam karenge na. Mummy ki permission toh mil hi jaayegi, ha na?
“(When she (Rashmika) marries, has children, and becomes a big star, they will work too, right? They will take their mother’s consent, right?)”. The remark generated new reports of a possible marriage between Rashmika and her alleged boyfriend, Vijay Deverakonda, with fans wondering if wedding bells are about to chime for the couple.

The relationship between Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda has been a topic of gossip for years. The two stars, who rose to huge fame following their appearances in Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019), have appeared together on several occasions. Rashmika frequently posted photos from Vijay’s residence and holidays, adding further fuel to the gossip about their romance. The movie is expected to hit theaters on March 30, 2025, on the occasion of Eid.
