The first two days of Salman Khan's latest release, the Sohail Khan directed, JAI HO, were not in keeping with his super stardom as the film barely managed 35-36 crore on Friday and Saturday.
However Sunday the 26th January (Republic Day) saw a big jump in collections as the audience thronged the cinemas, and at places the escalation was as high as 50 percent.
Coming to the number crunching, as per early estimates, JAI HO has netted in excess of 60 crore during the opening weekend from India. Having said that the multiplexes are still not up to the level of Salman's last few blockbusters.
Before we leave, as per the initial reports from the overseas, a similar trend has been observed, especially in the UK.
