His obituary may well have been written by a select few in the industry, as well as the media. However, ask Ram Gopal Varma about it and not just is he hale and hearty, he continues to be active on social networking circuits. Wait, this isn’t all as the filmmaker is back to what he loves most i.e. making movies.

Recently, when a newspaper carried reports around Ram Gopal Varma vanishing from the Bollywood scene and perhaps never return to making movies in Mumbai, many of his acquaintances as well as close associates were shocked! Reason being that they were pretty much in touch with the filmmaker up, close and personal and couldn’t really fathom if things were as bad.
When we reached out to Ramu, he seemed (expectedly) unperturbed about the speculations being made and laughed it all away.
‘Obituaries keep getting written, but isn’t that the way many of us operate,’ says Ramu in his characteristic tone, ‘I am pretty much around; there is no question of me going anywhere.’

It was being speculated that RGV had packed his bags from Mumbai and it would be a while before he ever decides to be back.
‘Well, I am in Hyderabad currently and that’s because I am shooting for a Telugu film. In fact as we talk, I have finished shooting 70 percent of it,’ says Ramu whose last Bollywood outing was SATYA 2 that released a few months back.
Guess, the obituaries would have to wait.
