With two films of similar genre releasing on the same day, business was bound to be divided, and that is precisely what has happened in the case of this week’s new releases, TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA and JODI BREAKERS. The collections of both the films are dull and in the range of 30-40 percent, on an average.

However, as per initial reports barring circuits like Mysore and to an extent some multiplexes of Delhi city, it is the Ritesh–Genelia starrer, TERE NAAL LOVE HO GAYA, that has clearly dominated the Madhavan–Bipasha starrer, JODI BREAKERS. Fortunately there has been a perceptible pickup for both the films during the evening shows, and a 10-15 crore weekend for both (or at least one!) is not ruled out.

Meanwhile last week’s EKK DEEWANA THA has been completely rejected and the Prateik–Amy Jackson starrer has netted a poor 5 crore (approx) during the opening week.
Even the Valentine week release, Imran Khan–Kareena Kapoor starrer, EK MAIN AUR EKK TU, which has an all inclusive cost of 37-38 crore, crashed badly in the second week netting around 6.75 crore (to be validated) and will have to content with at best an above average rating (as we had predicted in our weekly report), and that too thanks to the good overseas run.
