This is the second such threat in a matter of days. On November 5, Salman Khan received an ultimatum, with a similar demand for money to ensure his safety. Authorities have already arrested a suspect, Bhikha Ram (or Vikram), who allegedly called the Mumbai Police and issued the initial threat. According to police sources, Ram claims to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, and his motive for making the threat is still under investigation. The police are working to gather more details through interrogation.
The police are taking these threats seriously, with both the Worli Police and Mumbai Traffic Police now involved in separate investigations. They are working to trace the origin of the new threat and identify the responsible party.
In terms of his work, Salman Khan is currently filming Bigg Boss 18 and Sikandar, which suggests he is continuing his professional commitments despite the pressure. The fact that he has been targeted by this gang before—having received threats in 2022 related to the blackbuck case—adds further weight to the seriousness of these current threats.
At the same time, the Mumbai Police are also dealing with a similar threat involving Shah Rukh Khan, which highlights the larger trend of threats being issued against high-profile Bollywood figures, possibly to instill fear and extort money.
