Shah Rukh Khan’s 60th birthday turned out to be an emotional affair that brought together fans from all over the world. The Bollywood superstar, who has been ruling hearts for more than three decades now, resorted to sending out a special video message and a selfie clip, thanking admirers for endless love and support.
But this year’s birthday was different. On previous birthdays, thousands of fans would gather outside his iconic home, Mannat, to catch a glimpse of him waving from the balcony, while SRK chose not to step out this time due to safety and crowd control reasons. Earlier in the day, the Jawan actor took to X to share an apology, saying, “Have been advised by authorities that I will not be able to step out and greet all you lovely people who have been waiting for me… Thank you for understanding, and believe me, I will miss seeing you more than you will.”
Though absent in person, Shah Rukh made sure the enthusiasm of his fans was met with his warmth and regard. He shared a chirpy video selfie from the Mumbai fan meet wearing a grey beanie and spectacles. He was mobbed by fans, grinning from ear to ear. “Thank you for making my birthday special as always. Full of gratitude… and those of you I couldn’t meet, I will see you soon. In the theatres and at the next birthday. Love u.”

For years, a glimpse of SRK greeting his fans from Mannat has been the most cherished sight to anyone who loves him. Without the grand public appearance this time, too, the birthday was an epitome of humility, gratitude, and attachment with his fans worldwide-in short, the reason Shah Rukh Khan is called the “King of Hearts.”
