”PIL against ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ from Shanghai, REJECTED by the Delhi High Court! The Court has protected freedom of speech! Many thanks!’ tweeted Vishal.

‘BHARAT MATA KI JAI! And today, with no sarcasm at all, and with deepest thanks to the Delhi High Court!’ he posted on the micro-blogging site.

The PIL was filed by a political party objecting to the wordings in the controversial song. They said they have ‘problems’ with the lyrics of the song, especially where it says: ”Sone ki chidiya, dengue, malaria, gud bhi hai, gobar bhi, Bharat Mata ki jai.”

SHANGHAI is releasing on June 8 and stars Emraan Hashmi, Abhay Deol, Prosenjit Chaterjee and Kalki Koechlin
