Newcomer Ahaan Panday has taken the spotlight with his impressive debut in Saiyaara, directed by Mohit Suri. As the film continues to win hearts and rake in over ₹150 crores at the box office, a touching behind-the-scenes story shared by his family has added an emotional layer to his rise.
Ahaan’s Difficult Start in Life
In a recent vlog, Ahaan’s sister Alanna Panday and mother Deanne Panday opened up about his premature birth and the early medical challenges he faced. Deanne revealed that Ahaan was born 42 days before her due date through an emergency C-section after her water broke unexpectedly. “He was as small as a rat,” she recalled. Ahaan had to be immediately shifted to a different hospital because the one Deanne was admitted to didn’t have a NICU. Despite just having undergone surgery, Deanne insisted on being moved to be with her newborn son.

Adding a dramatic touch, Alanna shared that Ahaan was transported in a thermocol box—“like a cooler”—as it was the only available option at the time. When Deanne finally saw her son, he had a stick attached to his fragile leg to support a hairline fracture. “His thighs were so thin,” she remembered.

A Star is Born
Fast-forward to today, and Ahaan Panday is making headlines with Saiyaara, where he stars as Krish Kapoor, a passionate singer, opposite Aneet as Vaani Batra, a budding journalist. The film explores their journey through love and ambition, set against a heartfelt musical backdrop. Interestingly, the film’s marketing followed a ‘no promotion’ strategy—no media appearances, no influencer tie-ups, and minimal social media buzz, making the movie’s success even more remarkable.
From a fragile start to a powerful debut, Ahaan Panday’s journey is nothing short of cinematic.
