Kapkapiii is taken in charge by the late Sangeeth Sivan, who died under tragic circumstances in May 2024. The film is one of his last, completed while he was working in the post-production stage. Sivan’s own body of work, starting with hits like Kya Kool Hain Hum, has led to great anticipation for this film as well, which promises to hit the right chord between horror and comedy.

Hindi Remake of Malayalam Blockbuster
The movie is a Hindi adaptation of the 2023 Malayalam blockbuster Romancham, which was originally directed by Jithu Madhavan. The original movie, starring Soubin Shahir and Arjun Asokan, was appreciated for its spooky and witty plot.
