The Heeramandi star clapped back with a bold response: “Pehle teri mummy papa karenge, phir hum. Promise.” (First, your parents will get divorced, then us. Promise). Her fiery comeback has since gone viral.
Shatrughan Sinha Stands by His Daughter
Sonakshi’s father, veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha, also came out in support of his daughter amid online backlash over her interfaith marriage. Quoting lyricist Anand Bakshi, he told Times Now, “Kuchh to log kahenge, logon ka kaam hai kehna.” He added, “Kehne waale agar bekar, bekaam-kaaj ke ho to kehna hi kaam ban jata hai.” Emphasizing that Sonakshi did nothing illegal or unconstitutional, he urged trolls to “get a life” and do something useful.
