Taapsee Pannu’s interactions with the paparazzi have once again become a topic of discussion, following a recent incident at the premiere of her Netflix film, Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba. As she was leaving the theater, a photographer attempted to take a close-up shot, which visibly unsettled the actress. Reacting to the intrusion, Taapsee sternly told the photographer, “Aap chadhiye mat. Aap chadhh ke aayenge toh aap mujhe daraa rahe hai” (Don’t come too close to me. If you are doing that, you are scaring me). The situation was quickly diffused when others around her urged the photographer to apologize, which he did. Taapsee acknowledged the apology with a simple “Thank you.”
The incident quickly went viral, with many online users comparing Taapsee’s reaction to that of Jaya Bachchan, who is also known for her strict stance against intrusive paparazzi. While some criticized Taapsee, suggesting that she might be overreacting, others supported her right to personal space and privacy. Taapsee has previously expressed her views on her relationship with the paparazzi, emphasizing that she does not feel the need to apologize for her stance and that her films speak for themselves rather than her interactions with the media.
On the work front, Taapsee is currently promoting Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, a sequel to the 2021 hit Haseen Dillruba. The romantic thriller, which also stars Vikrant Massey, Sunny Kaushal, and Jimmy Shergill, premiered on Netflix on August 9. Following this, Taapsee will be seen in *Khel Khel Mein*, directed by Mudassar Aziz. The film, which is set to release on August 15, features an ensemble cast including Akshay Kumar, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, and Ammy Virk.
