When further asked him about taking inspiration from Salman’s TERE NAAM character, he said, “What I meant by TERE NAAM was the type of career Salman bhai has had and the type of film TERE NAAM & the type of subject it is, he need not have done it. It’s not something that you’ll say, oh, this is a Salman Khan film. kaafi tedi film hai, still he did it and it worked very well. So I got that belief, inspiration and I felt that I can go out and make these decisions because people before me have always made these difficult decisions and they have paid off and I know that TERE NAAM was a film Salman bhai had done from his heart at that point. So, this a film that I have done from my heart. I was going through something when I had signed this film and during this film, and hopefully, it will show.”
