Anees Bazmee is ready with his team of WELCOME BACK, a sequel to the 2007 blockbuster WELCOME! The movie, which goes on floors next month, has been in the news over the final cast and crew for quite some time now. At an event held on Monday, filmmaker Anees Bazmee announced the final cast of the film.

While Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar and Paresh Rawal have been retained from the original and are a part of the sequel as well, the lead pair of the movie -Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has been replaced. John Abraham and Shruti Haasan are the new entrants.
While John has stepped into Khiladi Akshay Kumar’s shoes for the lead role, Shruti Haasan would be seen in Katrina Kaif’s role. After immense speculation over the leading lady of the film, Shruti bagged the role replacing Asin, who was initially considered for the role. Looks like RAMAIYA VASTAVAIYA and D-DAY have worked really well for the actress.
Rumors are also doing the rounds that Big B is being considered for the role of the late actor Feroz Khan. Whether the actor becomes the part of the movie only time will tell!
