Yash Raj Films (YRF) has locked July 10, 2026 as the theatrical release date for its upcoming action entertainer Alpha, headlined by Alia Bhatt. The studio announced the date with a teaser poster shared by YRF as well as the film’s lead actors Alia Bhatt and Sharvari. The visual offers the first glimpse of Alia Bhatt in a rugged action avatar, showing the actor bruised and bloodied after what appears to be an intense combat sequence.
Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha pairs Bhatt with Sharvari in what the makers describe as a high-octane action thriller. The film also features Anil Kapoor and Bobby Deol in pivotal roles, with Deol positioned as the antagonist. Bhatt and Sharvari are expected to face off against him in the film’s central conflict.
The project marks Alia Bhatt’s first collaboration with Yash Raj Films. Positioned as a female-led action spectacle, Alpha centres on Alia Bhatt and Sharvari performing large-scale action set pieces rarely attempted by female protagonists in mainstream Hindi cinema.
Shiv Rawail previously directed the YRF-produced series The Railway Men. Alpha is produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner.
