The winds of change have entered the Yashraj Empire too and the banner that specialised in telling sophisticated urban tales is now going for some hard-core visceral stuff like clan wars and revenge drama in a small town, and a love story of passion ignited by hatred.
ISHAQZAADE looks like a complete departure from the usual films of Yashraj genre, as evident in the posters and the publicity material of the film.
It is the story of two wild animals… an unpredictable Parma and a ferocious Zoya, and their battle… deafened by sounds of hate, revenge, bullets and deceit. The two fiery leads, who are born to hate and destined to love, are played by debutant Arjun Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.
The film is slated to release on 18th may, 2012. Produced by Aditya Chopra, the film is directed by Habib Faisal, the award-winning director of DO DOONI CHAAR and the writer of award-winning film BAND BAAJA BAARAAT.
His team consists of the top-line talent including the DOP Hemant Chaturvedi (COMPANY – 2002, MAQBOOL – 2004 & KURBAAN – 2009), the music director Amit Trivedi (National & Filmfare Award for DEV D and Filmfare Award for UDAAN – 2010 & acclaimed musical score for NO ONE KILLED JESSICA – 2011), the lyrics writer Kausar Munir (TASHAN – 2008), production designer Mukund Gupta (DO DOONI CHAAR), the editor Aarti Bajaj (DO DOONI CHAAR – 2010, JAB WE MET – 2007, DEV D – 2009, NO ONE KILLED JESSICA – 2011, ROCKSTAR – 2011, etc.), choreographers Rekha & Chinni Prakash, and the action director Sham Kaushal.
