It is a known fact that YEH JAWAANI HAI DEEWANI has been shot extensively at various parts of the country and that too primarily outdoors. While the shooting did take good time to be completed, courtesy the travel involved, there was also some intense weather conditions that had to be battled. Despite all the luxuries that are made available to cast and crew of films, especially the ones made by Karan Johar, it was still not an easy experience for all involved.

“This also had a lot to do with the weather conditions,” informs a source attached to the film, “Since light too fades off early in the valley, the entire unit had to begin work earlier. Cold did play truant at many occasions and all credit to the team which never gave up despite adverse circumstances.”
The most interesting part of the entire exercise was trekking though that allowed Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Aditya Roy Kapoor and Kalki Koechlin to spend a lot of time together.

“See, we were looked after reasonably well as per the conditions and the facilities available there. However the terrains were tough too and it wasn’t easy just being out in open,” remembers Kalki.
Moreover with no facility of vanity vans being around, the actors were required to adapt to what was available.
“This included, of all things, cold Maggi noodles. Now that was something really special,” smiles Kalki before signing off.
