Actors Ariana Grande and Jonathan Bailey are going all out to promote their newly released film, Wicked: For Good. Directed by Jon M. Chu, the second installment in the two-part adaptation of the beloved stage musical premiered in theatres on November 21. The musical fantasy also stars Cynthia Erivo in a pivotal role.
As part of the promotional tour, Ariana and Jonathan appeared together on The New York Times’ cooking show The Pizza Interview. The duo rolled up their sleeves to make pizza while chatting about their culinary tastes. However, one moment from the episode has taken the Internet by storm. In a clip shared on YouTube on November 25 and reposted by Pop Base on X, the co-stars are seen holding a jar labeled the “World’s most famous sourdough starter.” What truly stole the show was their warm, intimate pose—Ariana standing in front while Jonathan wrapped his arms around her from behind. The two beamed at the camera, leaving fans smitten.

Meanwhile, fans have also been curious about a romantic scene between Ariana and Jonathan that didn’t make it into the film. The movie’s screenwriter, Dana Fox, recently revealed that Glinda and Fiyero originally shared a “passionate kiss,” but it was removed. According to Fox, the moment felt “too real,” making Fiyero’s ultimate choice—his love for Elphaba—emotionally complicated for viewers.
