Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have finally divorced, after nearly two years of marriage. TMZ has reported that the couple finalized their divorce settlement on January 6, which a judge approved on February 21.
Despite rekindling their romance after two decades apart and tying the knot in 2022, sources reveal that the two have been living separate lives for some time. The divorce settlement required them to divide shared assets, including their $60 million Beverly Hills home.
Lopez’s Focus on Self-Growth
Lopez, who initiated divorce proceedings in August 2024, has publicly expressed her need to concentrate on self-care, healing, and personal development. The Atlas star has been taking care of herself and her career, making it evident that this year is all about rediscovering her independence.
Affleck Relying on Jennifer Garner
At the same time, Affleck has been depending on the help of his former wife, Jennifer Garner, as well as their children, during this adjustment. The Justice League star has also encountered a surprising encounter with law enforcement, as authorities suggested that he evacuate his Brentwood home for the raging Los Angeles wildfires.
Garner’s Support and Concerns
Garner, previously a buffer between Affleck and Lopez, is now centered on finding harmony in her life. Though still reaching out to assist friends and L.A. wildfire victims, those close to her indicate that she might be doing too much.
Affleck, according to reports, still has a very positive regard for Garner being a part of his life and would abandon everything in an instant if called upon to assist her.
