Dwayne Johnson just shared a spectacular training photo of himself channeling his inner ‘Black Adam’.
The former WWE superstar turned actor once again teased his fans sharing a new look at his ripped muscles as he prepares for his upcoming DC role.
Taking to Instagram on Sunday (December 13), the 48-year-old Hollywood star shared a photo featuring himself donning a dark grey ‘Black Adam’ T-shirt. In the caption,
Dwayne Johnson revealed that ‘Phase 2’ of his physical training for the upcoming superhero movie has already begun.
“Phase 2. Training for BLACK ADAM. The hierarchy of power in the DC UNIVERSE is about to change,” he wrote.
“Shout to my long time strength and conditioning coach @daverienzi for the ever-evolving, strategic road map to success for this film and character. Month by month, week by week, day by day.”
The actor also revealed that production for the forthcoming DCEU film will begin in spring next year, writing “277 lbs of mean and nasty. #blackadam #dcuniverse… Production kicks off spring 2021.”
Johnson has been regularly updating his fans on social media. Back in September, he posted a photo of his front gate which had been ripped off by him, adding he’s ready to play the DC anti-hero.
“Not my finest hour, but a man’s gotta go to work,” he wrote in the caption.
Dwayne Johnson has been rumored to play the popular DC villain for over a decade. DC earlier dropped an animated concept art trailer for the hotly-anticipated ‘Black Adam’ during the DC FanDome event back in August.
The film which was previously set for December 2021 release, has since been postponed by Warner Bros and awaits a new release date.
‘Black Aadam’ will reportedly focus on the titular character’s origin story and will see an appearance of members of the Justice Society of America, with Noah Centineo and Aldis Hodge already being cast as Atom Smasher and Hawkman respectively, per CBR. Sarah Shahi is also onboard for the film.
The much-awaited DC Comics film is directed by Jaume Collet-Serra.
