BLACKPINK’s Lisa is taking on a new artistic venture, teaming up with popular Japanese actor Kentaro Sakaguchi for a heart-wrenching short film titled Dream. The film, based on Lisa’s solo track from her 2024 album Alter Ego, marks the duo’s first on-screen collaboration following months of dating rumors and speculation.

Bittersweet Romance Unfolds
Released on August 12, the official trailer reveals a touching narrative of love and loss. Set to Lisa’s emotionally charged track Dream, the visuals follow Lisa and Kentaro portraying a couple whose relationship slowly fades from happiness into heartbreak. From shared laughter to painful goodbyes, the film captures the fragility of love with raw authenticity.

In the teaser, Kentaro, speaking in Japanese, delivers a moving monologue:
“We ended, just like that. All good things must come to an end, and so did we. Nothing in this world can rewind time. So all I could do was to just look at you. One last time. I couldn’t do anything.”

Inspired by Reality?
Fans speculate that the story may draw from real-life experiences, adding depth to the film’s emotional tone. Early promotional clips, which showed Lisa with a man wearing a matching couple ring, now clearly point to Kentaro, further fueling fan theories.
