Cardi was having a technical fail as Kamala Harris’ Milwaukee rally was airing on Friday. The 32-year-old encountered a teleprompter problem that caused a postponement in the speech while speaking to the crowd on Sunday at the glamorous event. The incident stunned her, and visibly flustered, she told the audience that she was “a touch bit nervous.”
One second, guys. Hold on,” Cardi Paused. It went something along the lines of “Sorry guys I’m a little bit nervous!” And, she continued, “I’ve waited my entire life for a moment like this. My whole life!” The I Like It rapper stumbled over her words, saying she would need “patience” for the next two minutes before managing to fix the issue. The WAP hitmaker even took a moment to joke about it: “Patience, where you at, mama?” Eventually, a staffer lent her his or her cell phone, which is how Cardi was able to read her remarks. And also “I spent a lot of time writing this speech, so I am going to make sure I read it properly,” she said modestly.
Is it time for us to be about changing the next eight years? she said, stoking the crowd over the prospect of Harris being the first female president of the U.S. Because we are going to have Kamala Harris in office for eight years! she added. At one point in her speech, the Please Me rapper threw shade at Harris’ GOP rival Donald Trump. Same as, “Did you hear what Donny Trump said yesterday?” The 30-year-old Cardi then inquired of the crowd, “What about a guy who said he’s gonna protect women ‘whether they need it or not?'” a reference to Trump’s “grab ’em by the pussy” statement. “Donny, don’t. Please,” Cardi said.
The Drip hitmaker spoke out about the awkward moment she experienced during Harris’ rally, claiming that “my mind be f**king racing all godd**n day b**ch.” In a TikTok, Cardi spoke on the issue saying that she “worked really hard on my speech.” And your gotdamn kangaroos on Monday, Thursday and Saturday again A lot of y’all talking ’bout ‘Why you reading it off ya phone?’? Motherf***er I had to write that stuff down, she vented further, also writing, Motherf***er I have three kids.
Numerous people praised the Bodak Yellow hitmaker where she kept her composure despite being anxious as the incident circulated on social media. Although Cardi was nervous af and the teleprompter went out, she still delivered the same message she’s been giving us since day 1!! Oh, and then: “you have no idea how much I looked from tragedy to triumph so on point,” a fan gushed on X, formerly Twitter, Why do we love Cardi shit she ain’t no cookie cutter robot she herself all day!! Another said, “Also the way Cardi handled this she did almost nail perfect when her speech wasn’t loaded on to the teleprompter so she freestyled. Good for her for taking a stand and using her platform to set an example of what she believes to be right.
Actually the way Cardi handled this was near flawless…her speech wasn’t loaded into the teleprompter so she improved.

Cardi B lies and claims that the text on the teleprompter that was later sent to her phone due to technical difficulties was something she spent all day writing. She’s upset that people have just now realized that she’s actually semi-literate.
