Waiting for Kyeongdo is all set to charm viewers with its heartfelt story and stellar cast. On September 9, JTBC unveiled the first look at the upcoming romance-comedy drama, featuring Park Seo Joon and Won Ji An as their youthful 20-year-old characters. Dressed casually and sitting by the shore with breezy smiles, the image captures a nostalgic and carefree moment — one that sets the tone for the emotional journey ahead.
Park Seo Joon Returns to Rom-Com After 7 Years
Best known for his role in What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?, Park Seo Joon is making a much-anticipated return to romantic comedy after focusing on thrillers and even making his Hollywood debut. His character, Lee Kyeong Do, is a seasoned entertainment journalist working for the Dongwoon Daily. Fans are eager to see Seo Joon embrace a lighter, heartfelt role once again.
A Love Reignited Amid Scandal
The drama follows the story of Lee Kyeong Do and Seo Ji Woo (played by Won Ji An), who were once passionately in love in their early twenties. After briefly reuniting at 28 and parting ways again, fate brings them back together — but under complicated circumstances. Seo Ji Woo is now a popular celebrity at the center of a messy public breakup, while Kyeong Do is covering her story for his publication.
Despite being on opposite sides, unresolved feelings reignite. As romance and humor take center stage, the drama explores whether love can survive fame, heartbreak, and past mistakes.
Coming Soon
Though an official air date is yet to be announced, Waiting for Kyeongdo is expected to premiere by December 2025, according to industry sources.
