Nearly a year after giving birth, Hailey Bieber is speaking candidly about her postpartum journey, revealing the emotional and physical toll it took on her. In an interview with Vogue Italia, the Rhode founder reflected on the challenges she faced after welcoming her son, Jack Blues Bieber, with husband Justin Bieber. The couple celebrated their new chapter with an intimate vow renewal in Hawaii last year.
A Complicated Birth and Postpartum Haemorrhage
Hailey revealed that her birth experience was far from easy. At 39 weeks, she began leaking amniotic fluid, prompting doctors to induce labor using oxytocin and a Foley balloon a device used to dilate the cervix. “Giving birth was the hardest thing I’ve ever done,” she shared. Though baby Jack arrived healthy, Hailey experienced a postpartum haemorrhage, a serious condition that can lead to shock or organ failure if not treated quickly. “I was bleeding a lot, and people die… that’s a thought that crosses your mind,” she recalled, though she felt safe under her doctor’s care.

Battling Body Dysmorphia and Online Hate
Post-delivery, Hailey struggled with postpartum body dysmorphia, made worse by cruel tabloid headlines and online rumors about her marriage. “They’re getting divorced,” and “They’re unhappy,” were the kinds of comments she constantly read online. “It drives you crazy. I’m not even sure I can explain it,” she said, highlighting how the negativity impacted her mental health.

Justin’s Support and Relocation Plans
Hailey praised Justin as “an extraordinary father, a natural,” and credited him for being a constant pillar of support.
