The biggest stars from the fabled Fast & Furious series – Vin Diesel, John Cena and Michelle Rodriguez – regaled viewers and fans with interesting anecdotes ahead of the VIVO IPL 2021 match between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Royal Challengers Bangalore on Wednesday. The ensemble cast promoted their highly anticipated upcoming film, The Fast & Furious 9. A sneak-peak of exclusive clips from the movie was also aired during the show for the first time in the country.
Speaking on Star Sports’ pre-show BYJU’s Cricket Live, John Cena revealed his connection with Indian Cricket after he posted a picture of Team India captain Virat Kohli in 2019 on social media, “I was following the 2019 Cricket World Cup and I began to see some correlation and the philosophy of never giving up. So, that is where the connection with cricket was made.”
When John Cena was asked how his character would sledge an opponent during a cricket match with a dialogue from the movie, he said, “You can’t run from your past and yours just caught up!”
Fast and Furious 9 will be releasing in June 2021 and fans will be eagerly awaiting to catch all the action! So, fasten your seat belts!
